SADDLE MAKING INTERMEDIATE COURSE
10 days duration
This course is aimed at experienced students, apprentices or those already working in the saddlery trade.
Students will learn:
- How to make a 16" rigid tree pony saddle with solid skirts,
flaps and sweat flaps. Knee pads and panel gussets will be made. Saddle
will be flock filled.
- How to check and prepare trees.
- Fitting flexible points.
- How to flock the panel to fit.
The school will provide saddle trees and all materials.
These will be charged for in addition to the course tuition fees.
This saddle can be used for the City & Guilds Level 2 examination.
Tools, leather and buckles will be supplied by the
school or students may bring their own.

A certificate of attendance will be awarded at the end of the course.
